Christianity 101 The Religious QuestMondays at 2:00 pm or 7:00 pmSeptember 11 - October 2
This broad overview of the Christian life is designed especially for those who want to get “the big picture” of Christianity. We are all on a quest, or journey, for meaning and purpose in life. Christians are disciples (learners, followers) of Jesus. As we follow Jesus along his path, how does the journey begin? Where does it lead? What helps are available to us along the way? Facilitated by Pastor Rich. Bibles and materials will be provided in class. No home work required! Sign-up here.
Bible 101 An Introduction to the (whole) BibleMondays at 2:00 pm or 7:00 pmOctober 9 - 30
This four week class is geared especially for those who feel as though they are biblically illiterate (or nearly so). Those who complete this class will walk away with a clear understanding of the overarching story that ties the whole Bible together. You’ll understand how both the Old Testament and New Testament contribute to the Bible’s unfolding story along with key texts and stories that contribute to “the greatest story ever told.” We’ll be using The Children’s Bible in 365 Stories by Mary Batchelor. After all, Jesus himself said, “Unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:4) Facilitated by Pastor Rich. Sign-up here.
Christian Mission 101Mondays at 2:00 pm or 7:00 pmNovember 6 - 27
This class is for anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of Christian “mission” from a biblical perspective. The first two weeks will focus on God and Mission looking at motifs in both the Old and New Testaments regarding God’s mission in the world. The last two weeks’ focus is the Church and Mission and how the church, as the body of Christ, partners with Jesus Christ in his mission in the world. Facilitated by Pastor Rich. Sign-up here.
